Engineering Design

NLI takes great pride in its engineering design prowess.  Our large engineering department has designed numerous pieces equipment from scratch, and designed the modifications for countless others.  Our engineers are some of the best in the industry and our product knowledge and experience is unrivaled.

NLI has designed complete replacements for electronic components such as Bailey controllers and Lambda power supplies.  NLI’s engineers also work with vendor partners to modify equipment so that it can be qualified for nuclear applications.  In some cases, we purchase commercial grade products and modify them in-house based on our engineer’s design modification recommendations.  Common examples of this include adding braces to switchgear so it will pass seismic testing and changing polymers on products so they can pass thermal aging and/or radiation testing.

Our engineers also work closely with our vendor partners, so if you challenge NLI with a project, you tap into a huge network of engineers that are absolute experts in their respective fields.
