Fabrication

The fabrication of vessels, skids, chillers, custom enclosures, etc., is an important part of NLI’s product and service offering.  Customers often need more than just components, they need entire systems – often on skids or contained inside enclosures.

A great example of NLI’s design and fabrication abilities is a custom ASME III chiller supplied to a site in the southeast US.  Due to physical constraints, the unit needed to separate into three sections to fit through a normal double door.  This custom designed unit can be seen in the photos above.

Another example is a custom designed enclosure for a 175KW backup diesel generator supplied to a DOE site.  After qualifying the stock OEM diesel generator, NLI fabricated a custom enclosure that sits upon the fuel tank.  The enclosure is self-contained and includes ventilation, switchgear, controls, lighting, etc.

To meet the increasing demands for fabrication, NLI has teamed with Greenberry to offer general fabrication services and specific products such as tanks, pressure vessels, piping, and heat exchangers to the commercial nuclear industry as well as DOE and DOD facilities.
