Boards

NLI is the nuclear industry’s leading supplier of refurbished and reverse engineered boards for a variety of applications including instrumentation and control equipment.  NLI pioneered reverse engineering of electronic components when it became clear that many boards could no longer be refurbished or repaired due to the unavailability of the discrete components.

One example of NLI’s experience involved the reverse engineering and manufacture of 900 Bailey control modules. Better manufacturing techniques and smaller components allowed NLI to eliminate a two-level board and incorporate all components onto a single board.  Non-aging parts such as the frame and contacts were refurbished and reused for better cost efficiency.

 NLI controls all aspects of providing replacement boards, including reverse engineering, designing the replacement, manufacturing, qualification, testing, and burn-in.  No job is too large or too small for NLI and our only interest is in making our customers happy.  We have often recommended less expensive reverse engineered replacement boards to customers that ask us perform costly refurbishment services.
