Annunciators
Nearly all of the operating plants in the US have annunciator panels from NLI’s partner Ametek, which owns both the Rochester Instruments and Panalarm product lines. Annunciators are rather simple pieces of equipment, but vital to the safe operation of plants.
There are two basic types of annunciator panels; integral and remote. Integral units are self-contained and are often mounted on or near the equipment being monitored. Remote units are typically found inside control rooms. Remote annunciators require a separate control system to route the alarm and indication signals from the transmitters and switches to the panel.
In partnership with NLI, Ametek offers replacements for the legacy annunciators, as well as replacement parts. They also offer repair and refurbishment services that can include replacing incandescent bulbs with LEDs if the plant desires.
