NLI Awarded New Contract

NLI has recently been awarded a $6.5M contract to supply a new complete unit substation consisting of 13.8kV vacuum breakers, 4.16kV vacuum breakers and 10MVA transformers. All equipment is being supplied as safety-related. The contract is expected to take six months to complete.

     > Quality Assurance

To make sure our products and services would meet our clients’ expectations, as well as to exceed any requirements that the industry might impose, we at NLI developed our own Nuclear Quality Assurance Program. Since its inception, our stringent program has become an industry standard, having been reviewed and overwhelmingly approved by nuclear utilities in the United States as well as by our overseas clientele. We have earned their trust by supplying them with the best products and most comprehensive services available, all of which are subject to our QA Program. Great pains are taken to check, double check, test, and qualify everything that goes out of our facility; projects that are handled off-site are contingent on our standards. Total client satisfaction – the first time – is our goal.

All safety-related projects performed at NLI are under the controls of our Nuclear Quality Assurance Program, which meets and surpasses the requirements of 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21, and ASME NQA-1. And, because of our dedication to the Program we have had several very successful NUPIC audits.

If you have any questions or need more detailed information regarding NLI’s Quality Assurance Program, don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.

  > ASME III

NLI’s ASME III Program Certification is for Section III, 2004 Edition, Division I, and covers Class 1, 2, and 3 Valves and Pressure Vessels. Stamps include N-Certificate for Valves, Pressure Vessels, and Pumps, NS-Certificate for Supports, and NPT-Certificate for all parts as required.

The certification not only covers the quality assurance of construction materials, but the design, engineering, operation, inspection, and continuing maintenance of all equipment.
Requirements such as documentation, material testing, manufacturing, NDE, and testing are far more explicit, especially as it pertains to ASME III equipment.

By achieving this accreditation, NLI is equipped to serve the nuclear industry in a capacity that is unmatched.

     > E.M.S.

You need a critical relay…or a circuit board repaired...or a valve tested…or a motor rewound — NOW. In the nuclear industry, even a couple of hours can mean the difference between a power plant staying on-line or being shut down. Situations occur which don’t allow for normal time frames and procedures.

As a result, NLI has formed the EMS (Emergency Maintenance & Supply) Team, which stands ready to support your power plant 24/7/365. Whether it’s 2AM or 2PM, you can depend on us to help get you through whatever crisis your plant is facing and for the quickest supply and/or maintenance of safety-related components.

NLI is proud to present the EMS Team as an extension of our on-going commitment to offer technically superior, cost competitive and expeditious supply of equipment and maintenance to the nuclear industry.
